 Join Katherine Tallmadge during Italy’s lush harvest season October 19 - 26, 2006 on a unique eight day culinary adventure. Immerse yourself in Italy’s culture, savor traditional Mediterranean foods, and learn how to incorporate their healthy benefits into your life. Experience the ancient beauty and modern comforts of a twelfth century Italian villa and tour some of Italy’s most famous cities.
You will arrive in Rome, stay in a four-star hotel, and enjoy a private guided walking tour of some of its most important masterpieces, including the Sistine Chapel and Saint Peter’s Cathedral. From Rome, we will take you to Villa Monticelli in Umbria, a spectacular region in the heart of Italy.
 During your week long stay at the Villa, you will have the opportunity to take part in exclusive Mediterranean nutrition and cooking classes, morning yoga, guided walks, massages, delicious breakfasts, lunches, and dinners, truffle hunting, wine tasting, and a visit to an Umbrian olive oil mill.
There will be day trips to venues off the beaten path as well as nearby cities such as Assisi and Perugia.

Cost:
This retreat, Thursday, October 19 through Thursday, October 26, 2006, is 1,500 euros per person. This includes 6 nights at Villa Monticelli, a night in Rome, two meals a day (including breakfast) at the villa, travel between Rome and Monticelli (about two hours via bus), and all listed excursions and activities on the itinerary.
